As part of Attfund Limited’s social responsibility programme Attfund grants R3 million per annum towards the Parkdev Training Academy.
Parkdev Academy
Parkdev Academy was initiated and is financially supported by Attfund. Attfund’s aspiration towards excellence and perfection, together with a sincere observance of social responsibility, motivated the decree to contribute towards training and skills development in the industry. The Parkdev Academy in association with Attfund was established.
Mission:

to diligently address social responsibility,
•
contribute to improving service levels and proficiency of employees on Attfund sites through skills development and
•
to provide learning opportunities to aspiring as well as destitute applicants
Having access to property management expertise through its close alliance with Parkdev Asset Managers, Parkdev Academy optimizes this resource in the ongoing development of a training solution parallel with Attfund’s mission.
Training sessions are organized to provide opportunities for Parkdev employees and, on invitation, non-Parkdev unskilled or semi-skilled previously disadvantaged persons as well as new entrants to the labour force, to acquire and develop skills. Where fitting, certain candidates trained by invitation, are given the prospect of developing a vocation within Parkdev.
During the first two years of Parkdev Academy’s existence, 1,475 delegates represented by 941 individuals of whom 70% were not employed by Parkdev, but historically disadvantaged and employed on Attfund sites, ór unemployed, attended various training interventions.
